Hi,I'm still in the process of recovering from 2 heart bypass surgeries in the last year so I am going slowly with my crafting.I had to stop work due to ill health and was devestated by this. Also,my insurance carrier made me feel like a totally worthless person ,but enough of that negativity. Thinking of that definitely does not aid me in my recovery!!! I was an avid crossstitch and needlework fan. However,I was waiting for two knee replacements and I had to get up and move around often. Between this and the constant, wearing pain,I would lose my spot. Then I became very frustrated with myself.I soon came to the conclusion that crossstitch was no longer relaxing for me. I live in a small community that had it's own rughooking group. I started this group and fell in love with this art form. I have never been able to attend rug school because of my health limitations, but I have taken classes when they were offered locally.I love this with a passion. Every year ,I try to create an ornament. This year I am hooking a primitive angel.I found a wooden unfinished angel word at the dollar store,am hoping to paint it and splatter with white specs or gold , depending on my whimsy at the time, and I hope to hang my angel from the word.I'm very new to blogging so please bear with me,Cheers,Dreaming Deb
